We are delighted to invite you to join us, in this BIRDscapes’ 20th year, for one of our most special and unique exhibitions, The ‘North Light’ Collection, featuring a huge variety of artwork, collected over a lifetime, by one of the most world renowned wildlife artists of his generation, Robert Gillmor MBE.
With over 100 artworks available, including work by historical artists such as John Busby SWLA, Eric Ennion SWLA, Robert Hainard SWLA, Charley Harper, Lars Jonsson SWLA, W J Phillips, Richard Richardson, Peter Scott SWLA, R B Talbot Kelly SWLA, Ralph Thompson SWLA, C F Tunnicliffe, Donald Watson SWLA and Maurice Wilson SWLA, alongside contemporary artists including Kim Atkinson SWLA, David Bennett SWLA, Robert Greenhalf SWLA, James McCallum, John Paige SWLA, Greg Poole SWLA and Darren Woodhead SWLA, and of course work by Robert himself, there is an awful lot to see!
With the excitement building around this unique exhibition, we cant think of a better way to launch our long-awaited Collectors section on our website! This is now live, so all the works from The ‘North Light’ Collection are now available to view on our website, just head to our ‘Collectors’ page.
We are still in the process of adding the Robert Gillmor linocuts that have come to us from other private collectors, so please bear with us! We are aiming to add these to the Collectors page in the next 24 hours.
As normal, we will not be pre-selling ahead of the opening. However if you are unable to get to the opening at noon on Saturday 19th, and you have seen an artwork you’d like to purchase, you can email us or ring the gallery on 01263 741 742 to register a commitment to buy. Visitors making the journey in person to the exhibition opening are given until 12.15pm to make any purchases. After 12.15pm we will allocate artworks to those who have committed to buy by email or phone, on a first come, first served basis.
For information, we are able to deliver artworks throughout the UK for a modest additional fee, so even if you can’t make it to the gallery in person, it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on owning a picture you have fallen for! We are also happy to take payments by instalments at 0% over a term to suit the buyer. Please ask for more details if you are interested.
