Body found in car submerged in River Wensum at Norwich

At 5.20 p.m. yesterday police officers attended at the bank of the Wensum on Ferry Road, Norwich.  This was following a report from a member of the public that a vehicle was in the river.

The body of a male was recovered from a partially submerged Nissan Micra about two hours later.

Police enquiries are continuing to establish the identity of the dead man.

It is not thought that there are suspicious circumstances and it appears that no one else was involved.
