The best art galleries in North Norfolk
What could be nicer than enjoying a coffee and cake in the Art Cafe at Glandford and then wandering into BIRDscapes next door to look at the wonderful paintings. I do it regularly and thoroughly recommend the practice.
Steve and Liz at BIRDscapes Gallery at Glandford have published the programme of exhibitions for 2014. If you haven’t visited the Gallery before I highly recommend that you do as the work on show is always a delight.
Emma Hedgecoe studied at the Norfolk Institute of Art and Design where she obtained a Bachelor of Art Degree before moving on to the Royal Academy Schools in London. Her studies led to a Postgraduate Diploma in painting and she was successful in obtaining scholarships from RTZ and the Leverhulme Trust. She also won the prestigious Celia Walker prize. The Pinkfoot is an excellent art gallery at Cley-next-the-Sea. The stock consists of impressive artworks all of which are inspired by nature subjects.
The BIRDscapes Gallery is situated at Glandford in the building next to the excellent Art Café. As the name indicates the gallery specialises in paintings and sculptures of wildlife.
Gallery Plus is a contemporary business in Wells-Next-The-Sea owned and run by the young husband and wife team Trevor and Joanna Woods. The gallery shows a wide range of work but concentrates on more contemporary styles. There are also cards, prints and jewellery for sale.
