The English Whisky Company based at Roudham in Norfolk has been awarded recognition for the excellence of its products.  The industry ‘Oscars’, presented at the International Wine and Spirit Competition, are highly prized in the industry.

The Company received four awards – two silver and two silver ‘outstanding’ – quite an achievement for a firm that has been producing whisky for only six years.

The judges noted pleasant hints of coffee and cocoa and a slight fragrance of peat in the Norfolk product.

The owner of the Company, Andrew Nelstrop, put the success down to the excellent Breckland water and the outstanding quality of the locally grown barley.
