New Waitrose store at North Walsham – plans approved

Plans to convert the old Focus DIY store at Cromer Road, North Walsham, into a new Waitrose outlet have been passed by North Norfolk District Council.

North Walsham’s mayor Mr. Dave Robertson gave full backing to the application saying: “It will bring economic confidence to the town.  Those employed by Waitrose will spend a proportion of their earnings in and around the town.  Everyone will benefit, not just those who use it.”

The store will mean up to 150 badly needed jobs will be created.
