Growth in Norfolk economy still slow
Norfolk’s economy is still stagnating to a certain extent. A report just published indicated that manufacturers based in the County have experienced a definite slow down in orders. Export sales have also been less than encouraging.
A more optimistic attitude is to be found in Norfolk’s service sector. They reported an increase in sales and orders for the last quarter.
Somewhat surprisingly, both sectors have been actively recruiting staff. Perhaps they are anticipating an upturn. Let’s hope they are right.
No one is immune of course to the effects of the financial problems being experienced in the Eurozone. Until the member countries convince the world that they are really getting to grips with their monetary problems it is difficult to see much real improvement appearing on the horizon.
