Cromer crab factory closure
Young’s Seafoods raised hopes about the future of the Cromer Crab factory at one stage but their intention all along was obviously to close down the plant and move the production elsewhere.
Happisburgh handaxe – judged most important archaeological find
In 2000 a dog walker in Happisburgh spotted and picked up an interesting piece of flint. The experts at Norwich Museum were consulted and they declared it to be a Palaeolithic handaxe that was dated to 700,000BC.
