Kieron Williamson – Norfolk art sensation
Kieron Williamson, a nine-year-old Norfolk boy, was a short time ago just seen as a budding local art talent. He is is now recognised as an internationally important artist with a huge following.
The young artist has really hit the jackpot with the latest sale of his work. The total paid by purchasers for just 24 of Kieron’s paintings totalled £250,000. Telephone and internet buyers from the UK and US snapped them up in just a few minutes.
Kieron’s star has been in the ascendancy since news of his talent was spread initially through the local press. The national newspapers soon picked up his story and his fame spread rapidly.
Kieron and his family used to reside in Holt but since the young artist’s pictures have sold so well they have been able to move to a better house at Ludham on the Norfolk Broads.
There is to be a retrospective exhibition of Kieron’s work at the Picturecraft Gallery in Holt commencing on the 20th July 2012. Almost 100 paintings will be on display, including 24 completely new works. A book featuring his work will be launched at the same exhibition.
